The many tales of Kevin. Joe’s monologue on effects and aftermath of floods, fires, earthquakes, and avalanches along the coast of southern California. Kevin’s many fantasies of what he would do in his life, escapades The Circus of Love – a brothel, where Kevin meets Donna. Stories from Donna’s childhood; Joe details her torrid adult life as stripper and the people she’d meet on the road.
Continues with Donna’s story and meeting Kevin. Stories of Turner, an Army pilot in Vietnam; after he’s discharged, he’s arrested for selling marijuana; Turner’s altercations with other inmates in jail. After release from jail, he lived in the woods in California; stories about Turner’s mother and father.
In winter, Turner visits his sister Carmen, who lives in squalor; observes people who’d worked in sawmills who ultimately amount to nothing. Turner considers suicide but visits his cousin Andrea in who introduces to Matthew. Turner is intrigued and impressed by Matthew who shows him his past lives, and his future.
Kevin and Dave discover a woman dead in Matthew’s pool. Turner is physically deteriorating.
These shows contains many of Joe’s signature lists and detailed descriptions. One of the few shows where there is little music.
