About Us

JoeFrank.com launched in early 2003 offering sales of some Joe Frank program CDs, along with a few on-demand streaming shows. Joe was fully involved with the site – from input about its aesthetic to providing all written copy. Until the day he passed, Joe supervised every change – not a word was written without his approval. (He wrote all of the descriptions of the shows, specifically stating that he did not want to provide a lot of information. The reason? So that the listener was as engaged in the stories as the day they initially aired.)

But who, exactly, is behind the scenes here at JoeFrank.com?

Logan

In 2007, the small hosting company that housed the site suddenly and inexplicably went offline. Logan worked at the company providing backend support for its clients. There was no reason given, just: Poof. Gone. Logan, as surprised as we were, immediately worked tirelessly to secure a new host. He then modified our custom code and got us back online in record time. Since then, he’s been our primary programmer, tech and customer support super-hero. (He also has a full-time day job.)

When Logan began with JoeFrank.com, he was single – and now, he is married and the proud father of five wonderful children. He recently began running a small cattle herd. When time allows, Logan enjoys playing videogames.

Brandon

The site has been updated only twice since its launch. We were painfully aware that it needed a serious overhaul. In early 2025, we began aggressively seeking someone who could help us transfer the site to a new, more robust server. This would enable us to stream more high-quality media which our server simply was unable to accommodate. And, fortunately, Brandon answered our call. But he not only carried the load in that transfer, but also provided hugely needed design changes.

Newly relocated to Vancouver alongside his wife, Sophie, and their dog, Scout, Brandon has primarily worked in videogames for the past two decades. Most recently, he served as editor and localizer on the worldwide release of Stray Children, the latest RPG from the Tokyo-based cult-hit indie developer, Onion Games. His interests otherwise include folk-horror (and -lore, in general), discovering amazing artists and illustrators, radio (naturally), and basically anything at all to do with dogs.

Michal

After dating Joe for two years, Michal patiently worked to convince him to have an online presence. He finally acceded with the condition he’d be fully involved. With mediocre skills, Michal created the initial site; however, the support of Joe’s fans gave it life.

In late 2003, and ahead of the curve, she offered Joe’s shows through a streaming subscription service. To this day, the Membership continues to grow as she uncovers, digitizes, and uploads new Joe Frank content. While continuing to manage the site, she collaborated with Joe on his scripts for live shows, which she also produced.

The site grew along with their romantic relationship. In 2011, they married. From 2012-2015, she assisted Joe in creating new programs for KCRW’s Unfictional.

Michal is the force behind the web site, and is dedicated to bringing as much Joe Frank material to the public as possible. She is also a photographer, enjoys knitting and working out. Fun fact: Michal and Logan have never met, nor even talked on the telephone (or through Zoom).
