Another Country, Part 1: The ever deepening relationship between an Arab woman from Yemen and a Jewish man from America.
Another Country, Part 2: The fine line between anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism is discussed. Naim, the Arab woman, dedicates a dance to the Palestinians killed at Sabra and Shatilla and returns to Yemen. Later, the two travel together to the island of Jamaica. Naim returns home and he follows her to Yemen.
Another Country, Part 3: The Jewish man tours Yemen with Naim, where they have a chance encounter with an Arab nationalist. The relationship between the two lovers remains troubled. The American returns home, places a personal ad and meets many Jewish women, among them Michelle. He takes a vacation with Michelle to the island of St. Thomas, where he confronts the dark underbelly hidden beneath the hotel’s facade. We learn of Beauregard, a famous island dog. The personal growth system of Lifespring is discussed. A brief visit from Naim leads to a last ditch letter to Yemen.

Jason Hurtienne (verified owner) – :
Another Country is the story of a young Jewish man that ignores his mother’s wishes and falls in love with a Muslim he believes looks like a princess. The journey of these two forbidden lovers will draw you deeply into their conflicting religions and belief, with love trumping all. A love story, but one done with the truth of life’s consequences. Almost a three hour series, I consider it to be one of Joe Frank’s best works and an absolute must have for your collection.
Frans Goddijn – :
Among many favorites (like Debi Mae at Burning Man) this one is probably the most beautiful. Is Joe’s world lacking all affection or is it actually permeated with love but with people unable to grasp it? I would also buy the text as a book to cherish and it could be a mesmerizing film as well, with parts of Joe Frank’s voice over lifted from these three recordings. I enjoy taking long evening walks, with headphones on, and listening to Joe Frank stories and this great adventure in three parts guarantee a riveting listening trip.
