Dictator, The – 1

The Great Drought and the havoc it induced on Joe’s primitive tribe. The sole survivor, Joe is taken in by a friendly tribe of farmers, who are eventually annihilated by cannibals. Again, Joe cheats death and finds his way to a circus, where he becomes enamored of Marta, the human pretzel. Flash forward to the war where, as the Dictator, Joe is reduced to a blubbering, anxiety-ridden neurotic with multiple gastrointestinal issues. Stories follow of the unfortunate Oil Seller, the Dirt Boy who sprouted his own vegetables and became a self-sufficient ecosystem. Morality as a relative value is discussed.
